Our History
Bomgie® was founded in 2001 by two brothers, John and Mike Smith, who shared a passion for engineering and a desire to make water access simpler. As kids, they spent summers swimming in their family pool, which relied on an aging pump that was loud, inefficient and always breaking down. The constant repairs became frustrating and expensive, not to mention disruptive to their pool fun.
When it came time for college, John and Mike both studied mechanical engineering and spent their free time tinkering with pump designs in Mike’s garage. After graduation, they decided to go into business together and launch Bomgie® Pumps.
Our first products were small utility pumps for home use. We focused on making them ultra-quiet, energy efficient and able to handle tough pumping jobs with ease. Word spread quickly about the innovative new pumps from Bomgie®. Before long, we had expanded into manufacturing larger pool pumps built with the same quality and reliability.

Submersible Pumps
